Kettle. Ripped full loop of Muir/connector/Emma/connector/Muir before losing light. The cold, frozen and leafy trails kept me company. I'm not gonna lie and say I was comfortably warm. It was cold out there. Mental note: the leaves at Emma are deep, lobster gloves were warm but make it hard to hold onto the bar, tyre rubber and cold temps make an interesting thud when tracking on frozen dirt. It felt good to be out.

Apparently they're doing some serious logging in John Muir. I honestly couldn't believe the hack job these loggers did on not only the trails but also the forest. My only hope is that this is somehow returned to normal when they complete there mission.

The lot at Muir was the same when I arrived there as when I finished. Where were you?

Call to arms tomorrow. Group ride on the MKE river trails. Ride time: noon. I'll be meeting at this location here. Email me with questions. If your late the ride will roll clockwise. We'll move north on the westside of the river and then back south on the eastside. Don't miss it!

I haven't ridden these trails before - where can I find them exactly?

BW...from that pick and save lot go across north ave. (you'll be heading north) into the UW-M dorms and then head down towards the river. You'll run right into the trails.
