Some of the closer readers of this spot might know about my love for huskies of the Siberian kind. For the past few years my folks have owned a charming husky by the name of Alyeska. She's been the best dog I've ever come around and yes, I'm very biased. I've always said that I will own one or many when the time comes. Well the time has come. I was given a husky puppy as a gift over the weekend and the enjoyment of having a dog around is pretty nice.

I'll work up to the real thing in a few years...
