Training. I don't usually like to share secrets or let folks in on my extremely detailed, hour by hour schedule, but I thought in the spirit of things I'd fill you brothers and sisters in. I've given up sitting in the basement spinning out monotonous hours and staring at the wall. Instead I've created real hardcore race simulation.

This is my personal circuit, the (insert your cool name here. E.g. Righteous, Totally Tubular or RA:D) Circuit if you will. 50 laps a day for the next three or so months and things should be hitting like robocop. My personal best is a 10 second flat and that was basically an all out sprint. I'm working toward a sub 10 but that might not happen 'till January. Thoughts abound as I'm thinking to make it even more challenging I'd bring in some dirt to create a couple jumps, or just make the whole thing dirt and it'll be a straight up pump track. For now though, I'll just keep working on the wheelies. Friggin' sweet.

You need a berm in the kitchen.

Oh yeah, I like the fact that you are wearing your helmet indoors. You never know when the cat will run out in front of you and throw you off your line.

Nice. You could add a run up over the couch for cross season.

Iggy and the Teddybears. Nice background tune.

if you see the post on amelia's blog you'll know why he has to wear that helmet. rugs are like the roots of evil when they're wet.

this was filmed at tom's place so no cats to dodge but rugs can be pretty dangerous apparently...

I had a very similar course in my garage at my old house before it was sold. Now I'm developing a new one in the basement of the new house, it will be much longer than the old one if I ever finish unpacking from the move a year a half ago.

Yep, been there, done that. Wore out the carpet in my old apartment, skuffed the kitchen walls going around the table...good times. We set lap times up on the wall. My friend stayed up till 2am trying to beat my fastest 3 lap time.
I never wore a helmet though. You sir, are an example for the youth in America!
