::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The past few weeks have been spent actually doing something job related. Something that's been pretty fun and is turning into a pretty interesting, neat little shop.

Lets rewind to mid July. At the time was enjoying my summer working part time at the Hayes Bicycle Group. I'm was actually at Mt. Snow, Vermont when I got the call. Sorry to inform you but...you get the idea. A number of us were let go do to a shrinking budget, and I could go on about how I feel but that's for another day. That leads me to now.

Thanksgiving week I gave a call to my former manager at Hayes, that also got let go, to see how he's doing and wish him a happy turkey day. The news I received was pretty cool. His new job is starting a brand spanking new bike shop located in Cedarburg. "Do I want a job?" he asked. You might have guessed already that I said yes, and you'd be correct.

Now most of the time I like very little to have to do with shops. I've got ways to get what I need and I'd rather keep it that way. But working here is different. It's in a beautiful city, located in a perfect location right next to the Ozuakee county trail, backed up to the MKE river and the folks in the town have been incredibly welcoming. Yesterday we had a couple come in to just say hello, welcome us, and wish our store good luck. Where can you find that anymore?

With that said the official grand opening for LOCAL MOTION OUTFITTERS is happening tomorrow. Stop in and say hey to Ed the owner and take a look around the store. There is a lot to offer and it's a beautiful place. After stop in town for some good eats.
