ah, racin'.

That first one is always a shock. Even more so when your first race happens to be your first pro event, at one of the largest races you've ever been to, one of the most stacked fields I've seen (fitting the World Champion won), with temps in the mid 90's, and far far from home.

I say, the whole team, Adventure 212 that is, killed it this weekend. A bunch of home boys from Wisco (and part time Arizona) made a bit of a mark on thee ol' Sea Otter.

Travis Woodruff rolled in with 22nd.
Chris Peariso ended with a 31st.
Michelle Peariso and Jake Richards killed it with some perfect and much needed bottle hand ups, thanks!
Myself, a fine 33rd.

We even were able to dabble in the team tactics for a bit, something that doesn't always happen in a mtb race.

On a boring note, my lovely tan has now turned into a full on burn as my mind wandered this morning forgetting the sun tan lotion. Crashing didn't make it feel any better either.

Currently, TJ's putting the hammer down on his computer, uploading data from his Garmin, emailing, watching videos, checking ebay, dudes got like 15 tabs open. He's a bit worried though as he's says he's nearly found the end of the internet. Me, I'm sitting eating a few jelly beans wishing I had some ice cream. I feel like I'm on fire.

On tap for tomorrow, is a quick spin in the morning down near the ocean, some coffee, TJ's off to the airport, a drive up the coast thru Santa Cruz and maybe dinner in a city I've never been, San Francisco. That could be cool.

Giddy up, the season has begun.

Okay, did all those guys really post at those times? Hopefully they were still up. I know Mountain Goat probably was eating breakfast at 1:09 am.

..also, only 15 tabs?
