epic.

Is another day off road.

The mtb hasn't been getting much love lately so I was stoked to get the text from Bart saying an MTB ride was in order. I met Alex, we rode up to meet Bart and then back to meet Matt. Three Mona Vie guys and myself. I've learned from past experiences riding with these dudes to expect the unexpected.

We began on Shoreline and went from there riding trail that eventually put us up into areas I think very few go. Views were stunning and as we climbed, rather than shed clothing I added it and breathes that were invisible down low now became visible as we went up and up. Over the saddle it became even more apparent that the decent was going to be something to remember. A slick, steep start led to a frozen middle and dusty bottom dumping us out right near Bart's house. Alex, Matt and I finished up by descending Emigration Canyon and back home.

To finish the day, while sitting down for dinner A Bronx Tale comes on. If you've seen that movie you know. It couldn't have been a better way to end an almost perfect weekend (perfect would have been if Amelia was here...)
